Fury vs Ngannou October 28th

 The Crossover Fight

Current WBC heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury will take on Francis "The Predator" Ngannou , the former UFC heavyweight champion, in a boxing match on October 28th, 2023 and will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  The main event should be taking place around 10 pm UK time, or 5 pm EST and will broadcast live on TNT Sports Box Office , which was formerly called BT Sport.

 The fight is supposed to take place as a exhibition but both fighters have worded things as though it will be more intense than that.  It most likely is just to sell the fight, or at least on Fury's side, but maybe Ngannou is taking this a more serious matter. Fury's current belt is not on the line but the WBC did create a new one that will go to the winner.

To make things even more interesting former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, whom Tyson Fury is named after, is training Francis currently and will be in his corner come fight night.

Fury vs Usyk Prediction

As of now there isn't any confirmed fight set in stone between current WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and new Ring heavyweight champion and defending IBF/WBA/WBO champion Oleksandr Usky, but Usyk did call out Fury after his last fight and Fury wants the fight as well.  Recently, Usyk said he has a injury so a bout by December is unlikely but could happen next hear by April.  If the fight happens this is what I predict:

I like both fighters but overall I think there isn't a weakness that Usyk can exploit with Tyson Fury. Fury has a great chin, stamina, can keep the range well, can bully in the inside and use his weight when needed, and has good punching power.  If Usky hopes to just come in tremendous shape like he did against Joshua he's going to find it hard to move in to do land anything against Fury since he keeps his range much better than Joshua did and if he does come inside to land he doesn't have the 1 punch power to give Fury any problems.  So his only chance is to try to catch Fury on points but in doing so he's coming into a much more ring savvy Fury compared to Joshua and will risk getting hit himself.  So my prediction is a late 9th to 12 round tko victory for Fury with a small chance that Fury will win the decision on points.  In either case though I predict Fury to win this when it happens.  

Side note: The only hope Usyk has is Fury's weight hurts him physically like an injury to himself in the ring (such as his knees) , or that Fury feels that he is such a easy match he doesn't train and comes in just at the level that Usyk could squeak by a decision.  At this time in Fury's career I believe he's mature enough to not let this happen. 

I also think win or lose Usky vs Wilder would be a very interesting match.  They are most complete opposites in fighting styles.

Fury landed a brutal right uppercut that sent Whyte to the mat before the referee waived it off early in Round 6. Fury improved to 31-0-1 and while Whyte is now 28-3.

Fury TKO's Whyte In Round 6

Tyson Fury successfully defended his WBC heavyweight belt on Saturday, defeating Dillian Whyte by sixth-round TKO in front of 94,000 fans at the Wembley Stadium in London. Fury landed a brutal right uppercut that sent Whyte to the mat before the referee waived it off early in Round 6. Fury improved to 31-0-1 and while Whyte is now 28-3. 

Fury was able to use his distance and jab and wasn't bothered with Whyte coming out southpaw. If anything it seemed like his plan backfired and Fury was able to land more rights on him in the southpaw stance.  The fight was a little rough at times but other than that Fury was able to continue to do his thing and didn't throw a noticeable uppercut until the one he landed to end the fight. 

Fury said he will hang up his gloves but does say he is interested in a cross-over fight with UFC's heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

 Today was the weigh in for the WBC heavyweight championship fight this Saturday at Wembley between champion Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.  Fury weighed in at 264 lbs and Whyte weighed in at 253 lbs.  Tonight WBC champion Tyson Fury defeated his rival Deontay Wilder by spectacular 11th round KO.  The fight was back in forth but the majority of the fight was dictated by Fury's energy and output and secured the most points.  Fury had a knockdown in round 3 and Wilder 2 knockdowns in round 4 and /Fury had another one in round 10 and finished with another in 11 with a knockout victory. Up to that point I had the fight 96 - 90 Fury.

  My Fury Wilder 3 Prediction

This is a little tough to predict because there are a few new variables.  There's a lot of time off between their last fight for both of them.  They both are coming in at their career heaviest and just a short time ago this summer Fury caught Covid and had to call out the original 3rd fight between them.  Has he recovered from this fully?   One thing I believe is that Wilder shouldn't have came in heavier hoping to be able to push around Fury who is still 39 lbs more than him.  If anything this will tire him more.  In the last fight he said wearing that suit wore him out coming to the ring and now he's added weight to his frame so he's just carrying that around now?  I don't think that will benefit him.  Fury is used to carrying around the weight and has great stamina for a man that size.  I also think Wilder working on his boxing skills to try to compete with Fury is unnecessary.  It would be beneficial against other opponents but not against Fury because he's still not going to be the better boxer having only been training the new skills for a short time with his new trainer.  I believe he should have worked on footwork, leg strength, and explosiveness so he could get in on Fury and land his power.  It seems they focused too much on building size and upper body strength and boxing skills instead of this.  So my prediction is --- barring Fury hasn't severely been impacted by the covid he caught and doesn't get clipped early by Wilder--- Tyson Fury with most likely a TKO or possible KO within 5 rounds.

Both WBC champion Tyson Fury and former champ and challenger Deontay Wilder weighed in at their career heaviest today ahead of their championship fight tomorrow.

 Fury weighed in at 277 lbs (19 stone 11 lbs) while Wilder weighed 238 (17 stones) giving Fury a 39 lb weight advantage.

The odds pre weigh-in had current WBC champ Tyson Fury at a massive -310 favorite with the comeback on the former champion Wilder hovering around +220.

 In the last matchup, Wilder was a slight favorite at -125, with Fury at +105. Prop bets favor Fury via TKO/KO/DQ at -110, and had  Fury via decision around +250 and Wilder via TKO/KO/DQ close behind at +300. 

 Earlier in the week money was coming in with large majority of total bets are coming in on Wilder, with about a 50/50 split with overall cash between the two.
